Καταγγέλλω στον Ελληνικό Λαό και στους φίλους της μουσικής μου στο εξωτερικό ότι το έργο μου έχει γίνει και πάλι αντικείμενο διωγμού.

Αυτή τη φορά από μέρους του διορισμένου από την παρούσα κυβέρνηση κυρίου Κουμεντάκη, Διευθυντή της Λυρικής Σκηνής.

Η δίωξη και ο αποκλεισμός μου από έναν Δημόσιο Οργανισμό θεωρώ ότι γίνεται με τρόπο αυθαίρετο, καταχρηστικό και προ παντός ανεξάρτητο από την αποτίμηση της αξίας της καλλιτεχνικής προσφοράς μου.

Πρόκειται για αποκυήματα προσωπικού πάθους και μισαλλοδοξίας που όμως -μεταξύ άλλων- εκθέτουν την κυβέρνηση του κ. Τσίπρα, γιατί μπορεί να εκληφθούν ως πράξης εκδίκησης λόγω των γνωστών πολιτικών μου πεποιθήσεων και θέσεων.

Denunciation

To the Greek people and the friends of my music abroad, I denounce the fact that my work has once more become an object of persecution.

This time it is on the part of someone appointed by the present government: The Director of the Greek Lyric Theater (the Greek Opera), Mr. Koumentakis.

I believe that my banishing and exclusion from this public organization has been done in an arbitrary, improper fashion and above all independently of any appraisal of the value of my artistic contribution.

It is due to personal antipathy and intolerance which, however,  -amongst other things- exposes the Government of Mr. Tsipras,  because it can be interpreted as a an act of revenge towards my known political opinion and position.

Dénonciation de Mikis Theodorakis

Je dénonce au peuple grec et aux amis de ma musique à l'étranger que mon  oeuvre est de nouveau sujet à bannissement.

Cette fois-ci de la part de Mr.Koumentakis,directeur nommé par le gouvernement, de l’ Opera National Grec.

Mon expulsion et mon exclusion d'un  organisme public ,je les considère comme arbitraires et abusives ainsi que totalement indépendantes de l'évaluation de la valeur de ma contribution artistique.

Il s'agit du produit de passion personnelle  et d'intolérance qui expose,entre autres,le gouvernement du Premier Ministre Alexis Tsipras  car il se peut qu'il soit le fruit  d'un acte de  vengeance en raison de mes  convictions et positions politiques bien connues.

Erklärung

Ich möchte das griechische Volk und meine Freunde im Ausland davon in Kenntnis setzen, dass mein Werk erneut Opfer der Ausgrenzung geworden ist.

Diesmal durch Herrn Koumentakis, der von der jetzt amtierenden Regierung Griechenlands zum Direktor der Griechischen Oper Athen berufen worden ist.

Die Verbannung meines Werks und der damit einher gehende Ausschluss aus einer staatlichen Kulturinstitution geschehen in willkürlicher und missachtender Art und Weise – und zwar unabhängig vom Wert meines künstlerisches Werks.

Diese Ausgrenzung ist nämlich das Ergebnis persönlicher Antipathie und Intoleranz, was – unter anderem – auch auf die Tsipras-Regierung verweisen wird, weil diese herabwürdigende Ausgrenzung meines Werks als Racheakt verstanden werden könnte, als Reaktion auf meine allseits bekannten politischen Überzeugungen und Positionen.
